New Hampshire's abundant scenic and recreational resources help to bring over $3.5 billion into the state annually.
Tourism in New Hampshire is a year-round proposition, with a wide variety of skiing and other cold-weather sports during the winter months, over 1,000 lakes and ponds and 18 miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline as destinations during the spring and summer, and some of the most spectacular leaf-peeping in the world during the fall.
Additionally, one of the largest sporting events in the country happens twice a year in the unassuming Central New Hampshire town of Loudon, where New Hampshire International Speedway hosts two Nextel Cup stock car races - witnessed by a live audience of 100,000 each.
There's something for everyone in New Hampshire. Whether it's an exploration of the state's rich history at one of its many museums or historical sites, a hike of the some of the tallest mountains in the Northeast or along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, or a seat at one its minor league team games, visitors find themselves returning time and time again.
